Life of a webcam girl: 100 clients a day, an annual salary of £50k and my boyfriend APPROVES
A webcam girl who films herself fulfilling men’s fantasies for eight hours a day tells how the career helped cure her anorexia .
Jayme Jones, 21, suffered from a year-long battle with anorexia which saw her go from 11st to just 7st at 5ft3 tall and dressed in the clothes for a 13-year-old at 18.
But in June 2015 she decided to try something new after struggling to pay her bills on a measly salary as a sales person in a phone shop.
With friends who had contacts in the adult webcam industry , Jayme bought a HD camera and set up a studio in her spare room.
Since ditching a 9-5 job, Jayme, from London now earns around £52,000 a year and is constantly showered with gifts of shoes and clothes.
Better yet, the new role has given her body confidence and helped her battle anorexia. She gained back three stone over two years and now weighs a healthy 11st 4Ibs and wears a dress size 8-10.
Jayme said: “Being a cam girl has helped me find my body confidence and overcome my eating disorder
“Online I get showered in compliments, but in your day to day life that would never happen.”
In 2013, Jayme weighed 11st when she became obsessed with becoming thinner at 18 years because she wanted to be a model.
“I thought I was fat,” she said, “so I started completely cutting out meals.”
As the days rolled into weeks, Jayme restricted herself even further. She said: “I would skip all meal for two or three days.
“If I ever did have to eat a meal because someone forced me I would just cry, and then vomit it back up later.”
In the space of a year, she dropped four stone, taking her to 7st by July 2014, a BMI of 17.3.
She went to her GP who referred her for counselling and kept an eye on her weight as she tried to battle her demons.
In 2015 two years into the illness she ditched her job as a salesperson in a phone shop to pursue a career in the adult webcam industry.
When she decided to start camming, she said she ‘mostly chatted to clients’, charging them up to £2.99 per minute.
Loving the attention and extra cash, Jayme started spending six to eight hours a day camming, raking up to 100 clients a day.
As her confidence grew, so did her body, and began eating more to fill out her tiny frame.
Jayme, who said her boyfriend of two years and parents support her career choice said: “When I was anorexic I wanted to be a model.
“But since camming, I don’t mind extra weight. I feel sexy.”
She says that since gaining weight, which is predominantly muscle thanks to daily gym workouts, she loves her more toned figure.
Jayme admitted being a cam girl to her mum when she asked what was behind the extra cash and weight gain.
But she says her family – and her boyfriend of two years – do not might because they accept the camming is ‘an act’ and she still acts like herself off camera.
Now, Jayme has an entire room in her house dedicated to her work. In the past year, she’s spent more than £5,000 on lingerie alone.
Sometimes Jayme will either participate in a group chat online where up to ten clients can watch and speak to her at once, or privately where she often fulfills men’s fetishes.
She’s seen men pretend to be babies, eat their own semen and foot fetishes.
Jayme uses her Instagram account to promote herself to her 32,000 followers.
She said: “One second I’ll be normal me and the next minute I’ll be this happy bubbly woman.
“I have the confidence to push my boobs together and tell men I’ve done stuff I would never do in real life.
“The money is so good I would delay doing other things in my life like having a baby.
“She now hopes she can carry on the career long-term, adding; “Eventually I would like to have my own web cam business.
